New Game Plus is still coming next week.

Ubisoft has announced that it is pushing back the release of the permadeath feature for Assassin's Creed Mirage to sometime in 2024. However, its New Game Plus feature is still on track to be released this month.

"New Game + for Assassin’s Creed Mirage is coming next week! Dive back into Basim’s journey with your current progression and new rewards," Ubisoft said on Twitter. "The team is still working on the permadeath mode, which is expected to release in an update early 2024. Stay tuned!"

The December update was previously going to include both the permadeath and New Game Plus features, but now we'll have to wait a bit longer for the former. Permadeath mode will be available on all difficulties.

Assassin's Creed Mirage was released back in October and Ubisoft mentioned that it had no plans for any upcoming DLC. However, the game will continue to receive updates.

While Ubisoft says no to any additional story content, some studios have said the same thing and then walked back their decisions. Square Enix said there was no DLC planned for Final Fantasy XVI, but now, its first DLC, Echoes of the Fallen, is out now.

Ubisoft has many more Assassin's Creed games in development including Assassin's Creed Infinity and a new one for Netflix.

In GameSpot's Assassin's Creed Mirage review, we said, "Mirage does get back to the basics that first defined the series by refocusing on social stealth and making it fun to learn about a city's history, but a weak cast of characters keeps it from reaching the same heights as some of its earliest predecessors."
