Dead by Daylight's latest licensed crossover event has been revealed, and it's none other than Alien. Developer Behaviour Interactive posted a teaser that sets up what's to come, and it looks pretty spooky as you would expect.

"The suffocating silence of outer space pushes resolve beyond its limits," the developer said. More details about the Alien crossover event will be announced on August 8.

Now Playing: Dead by Daylight Alien Official Teaser Trailer

Alien is just the latest mega-franchise, or mega-personality, to come to Dead by Daylight. At the end of July, the game added the larger-than-life Hollywood star Nicolas Cage to the game.

Other franchises that have crossed over with Dead by Daylight have included Halloween, Left 4 Dead, Saw, Evil Dead, Stranger Things, Resident Evil, and Hellraiser.

Dead by Daylight is a multiplayer game where one person plays the killer and the others try to survive. Survivors need to work together to out-maneuver the killer and try not to be... dead by daylight.

The Alien movie series debuted in 1979 from director Ridley Scott. The series is known for the character Ellen Ripley, who is played by Sigourney Weaver. Numerous Alien sequels and spin-offs followed, the latest being Alien: Covenant in 2017.
