Nearly 20 years after the release of Super Princess Peach, the Mushroom Kingdom's beloved princess is getting her next solo game. Nintendo announced the upcoming title during its June Nintendo Direct, but has not yet revealed the game's title or any additional details regarding its gameplay.

In the short teaser trailer, Princess Peach is shown attacking enemies while traveling through a dark city, her destination a withered cherry blossom tree she must use her magic on to help bloom. Shortly after, she walks on to a platform that transports her to a stage, where she begins to undergo what appears to be a Sailor Moon-style magical girl transformation.

Nintendo has not yet announced if the upcoming game is a sequel to Super Princess Peach, which released for Nintendo DS in 2005.
