PlayStation Plus Extra And Premium Games For January Announced

Already claimed the free PlayStation Plus Essential games for January and looking to try something new? You're in luck, as Sony has announced the next collection of games headed to the PlayStation Plus game catalog later this month.

Starting on January 16, PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium members will gain access to Tiny Tina's Wonderlands: Next Level Edition, Resident Evil 2 Remake, Hardspace: Shipbreaker, Lego City Undercover, Just Cause 3, Session: Skate Sim, Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun, Vampire: The Masquerade - Swansong, and Surviving the Aftermath. PlayStation Plus Premium members will also be given a new collection of Classic titles, including Rally Cross, Star Wars: Episode 1 The Phantom Menace, Street Fighter: 30th Anniversary Collection, Legend of Mana, and Secret of Mana.

Released in 2022, Tiny Tina's Wonderlands combines the chaotic world of Borderlands with the fantastical (yet also chaotic) world of Dungeons and Dragons. Similar to other Borderlands titles, Wonderlands is all about grinding out the best loot, upgrading your character stats, and partying up with friends, making it a solid choice for those looking for fast-paced fun or a new game to play with friends.

Resident Evil 2 Remake, on the other hand, is a perfect choice for those looking for a heart-pounding, solo experience. A complete overhaul of the 1998 classic, Resident Evil 2 Remake sees Leon Kennedy and Claire Redfield struggle to survive as a zombie outbreak erupts in Raccoon City. In addition to dramatic visual upgrades, the remake features new puzzles, storylines, and areas for old fans and series newcomers to explore.

As for some of the other titles added, Hardspace: Shipbreaker is a sci-fi physics sim that gives players the freedom to traverse the solar system while taking on contracts and salvaging abandoned space crafts, while Lego City Undercover is a sprawling, open world adventure game that follows police officer Chase McCain on a humorous journey to take down the recently-escaped convict Rex Fury. Just Cause 3 is the third entry in the Just Cause series and follows Rico Rodriguez as he returns to "unleash chaos in the most creative and explosive ways imaginable across a Mediterranean island paradise," and Session: Skate Sim combines '90s skate culture with modern, realistic controls in a skating simulation game that takes players to real skating spots.
