I have never been a TR fan but this version ticks all the boxes. It is sheer exhilarating fun and surprises slowed down by regular platforming puzzles (I am not a puzzle fan but this game does it well).
The graphics are amazing, sound awesome, cutscreens interspersed with realtime action - it feels like you're playing a movie.
I have encounterted only one major bug so far which a lot of people complain still hasnt been fixed after 3 years ( Pisco quest in the Hidden city). The game can be quite difficult in places. It's also a very long game. There is an immense amount of platforming and you can go hours in this game without having to kill anyone.
Most of the game is linear (but not too narrow - it's really done well) so it's easy to follow, however some parts of the game become open world and given that there is no mini map these open world parts are a pain to get around and track where you need to go.
I can't recommend this highly enough
I play in 4k high settings and get 80fps
