Square's Final Fantasy Collection will be released in Japan on March 11, but those getting ready to import the set may want to hold off. It has been revealed that Square will bring this Final Fantasy anthology to the US later this year - a compilation with Final Fantasy V and VI (FFIII in the US). Final Fantasy IV (known in the US as Final Fantasy II on the Super Nintendo), which is included in the Japanese Collection, will not make it into the anthology set that Square EA will release in the US.

This is the first time that Final Fantasy V, once thought to be released in the US for the Super Nintendo as Final Fantasy Extreme, will be released in English by Square. Previously, this game was only available in English through a fan-made English translation run on Super Nintendo/Super Famicom emulators.
