Helldivers 2 Hunter - Where To Find And Kill 25 Hunters

The Helldivers 2 Hunters have the height advantage on you, but you can beat the odds.

Comments

Helldivers 2 Hunters are the focus of some in-game challenges, called Personal Orders, tied to spreading Managed Democracy like a true patriot. The campaign against the bugs continues apace, but every loyal Helldiver needs to know their enemies to bring managed democracy to the stars. That’s where we come in. Read on to find out about Hunters in Helldivers 2.

What are Hunters?

Hunters are average-sized bugs that are largely white, with reddish-orange wings on the sides of their heads they deploy when they are about to attack. They jump long distances and attack rapidly with scythe-like arms, making it easy to be overwhelmed by them in the heat of battle.

There are smaller versions of them that travel in packs with their orange (basic) and green (bile) counterparts, but those don’t count towards Personal Order kills.

Helldivers Hunter location

Hunters can be found on any planet in the Terminid systems (which are differentiated by their orange coloring on the Galactic War table). They will emerge during dynamic bug events and typically attack alongside several other types of enemies, including smaller bugs, other medium-sized and armored enemies, and even large bugs like Chargers, Bile Spewers and Bile Titans.

If you are on a bug-infested planet and playing on any difficulty, you are very likely to fight them, so keep an eye out and don’t let them sneak up on you.

Combat strategies

While Hunters are incredibly aggressive, attack in groups, and are very difficult to run away from due to their jumping and fast attacks, they have almost no health, so any weapon you want to use is just fine.

The key is to keep moving. When they appear in the mid-range, they’ll start dancing back and forth before jumping at you, so try to take them out before they jump, or shoot them while they are on their jump arcs.

If they get close, strafe and walk backward but don’t bother diving out of the way because they are fast enough to kill you while you are scrambling to stand back up. Make sure your main weapon and your off-hand are reloaded so you can quickly switch between the two to take them out if they get close.
