Monolith Opens Portal

Monolith's new client application allows easier multiplayer action. What's that mean? Try the beta.

Comments
Monolith Productions has rolled out the beta test for its new client application, Portal. The software, which Monolith plans to release with many of its new titles, uses the chat lobby portions of Microsoft's DirectX to hook up players for multiplayer games. In the future, it should support any DirectPlay games that can be launched through a lobby - including Blood and action arcade game Claw, for example. The beta version can be downloaded at the Portal web site.
