Ubi Soft Sponsors POD Tournament

Ubi Soft Entertainment is sponsoring the POD Race in Space Challenge, an online competition for owners of the game (either downloadable shareware or retail versions). First-round trials begin on May 15, with the finals scheduled for the first half of July.

Sponsored by Intel, the tournament features a $10,000 prize for the winner. The next 20 runners-up get either a Thrustmaster Steering Wheel or an ATI 3-D Accelerator Card. The other 43 finalists will receive T-shirts. A note for participants: Those using the full retail version of POD will have a slight advantage, since they can modify their vehicle's brakes, handling, speed, and acceleration.
