Certainly a game that makes arcade look good on the wii platform.

User Rating: 8.5 | 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa WII
Well I am here to review possibly the most hyped soccer game of 2010 on wii...2010 Fifa World Cup South Africa. As most of us know most of the sports games on wii have an arcade aspect to them, and this game is no exception. The arcade aspect comes in when you shoot. You can't specificly shoot directly into a certain direction when you shoot. But luckily, there is a momentum feature that gets higher as you sprint toward the other teams' goal. If the meter is full than that means that the GK can only knock the ball away he can't actually catch it. Of course, that feature also hightens your chances of scoring. There is also a mode called global elimination where two or four players pick three teams. Each time a player loses the team he was using is eliminated. When all three teams have been eliminated that player is eliminated from the tournament. This can become a useful mode when you are playing with friends. Now when you first enter World Cup mode you will be given the oppurtunity to add/remove qualified teams, place them in their groups, and finally choose your user selected team(s) The game clock moves quickly and cannot be slowed so most people will able to burn through the World Cup in 2-3 hours. One feature that really makes this game worth playing is Zakumi Dream Team which allows you to play against all 32 World Cup qualified teams each with a bronze, silver, and gold challenge. Each allowing you to swap players according to their rating. But one thing that really disappointed me was the online play. At first they allow you to make an EA Nation account with slots of personas to go by that you make yourself. But after playing over 10 online matches it started to lag severely. Which was very disappointing considering the fact I enjoyed the online when it didn't lag. So after the arcade handywork, the Global Elimination, the innovative Zakumi Dream Team, and the disappointing online I give 2010 Fifa World Cup South Africa a 8.5.
