As part of its Leipzig Games Convention showing, EA announced today that a dozen stars of screen and cage will be appearing in the next installment of its alternate-history real-time strategy series. Although EA didn't single out any actor for special treatment, the cast is headlined by Tim Curry (Clue, McHale's Navy), Jenny McCarthy (Basketball, Witless Protection), Kelly Hu (X2, Surf Ninjas), Jonathan Pryce (Brazil, Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End), and J.K. Simmons (Spider-Man, Postal). Rounding out the cast will be Gemma Atkinson (Hollyoaks), Andrew Divoff (Lost), Ivana Milicevic (Casino Royale), Autumn Reeser (The O.C.), Peter Stormare (Prison Break), and George Takei (Star Trek).

EA went beyond the normal casting call for Red Alert 3 and also brought in a pair of mixed-martial artists for the game. Appearing alongside the Hollywood talent will be bruisers Randy Couture and Gina Carano. Couture has dabbled in film before, with roles in Redbelt and the straight-to-DVD The Scorpion King 2: Rise of a Warrior, whereas Carano is best known as "Crush" on the revamped American Gladiators.

EA has also detailed some of its release plans for the game, including a limited Premier Edition package and preorder incentives. The Premier Edition will include exclusive multiplayer maps, an official soundtrack, a beta key to a future Command & Conquer game, and an extra disc with an hour's worth of behind-the-scenes material. Those who preorder either the regular or limited edition of the game will get a bonus bundle including the full version of Command & Conquer Red Alert 2, an exclusive multiplayer/skirmish map, a series retrospective, and more.
