As promised, this week marks the first in which Sony will begin delivering weekly updates to the PlayStation Network on Tuesdays, having previously dropped new content on Thursdays. The publisher couldn't have asked for a more high-profile downloadable release to usher in the schedule change, as the first map pack for Activision and Infinity Ward's Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is now available.

Already a multimillion-unit success following its Xbox 360 premiere in March, the Modern Warfare 2 Stimulus Package contains three new multiplayer maps and two updated arenas from the original Modern Warfare. At $15, the add-on is $5 more than content released for 2008's Call of Duty: World at War, which included three new maps and a zombie-themed co-op battleground.

The Stimulus Package introduces a few new and a few old maps to MW2.

Fatshark's Lead and Gold: Gangs of the Wild West received a positive critical reception on the PC upon its release in April, and PS3 gamers can also now check out the third-person shooter. The team-based multiplayer shooter sees gunslingers trading slugs in a Wild West setting across a number of different modes for $14.99. As for free content, PS3 gamers can also pick up a demo of THQ's heavily anticipated UFC Undisputed 2010.

With Fat Princess: Fistful of Cake landing on retail shelves today, PSP gamers can alternatively pick up the quirky multiplayer action game in digital form through the handheld's online store. The game, which received a less enthusiastic reception than its PS3 predecessor, costs $19.99. Other full-game downloads on the PSP store this week are Armored Core Last Raven ($14.99), What Did I Do to Deserve This, My Lord!? 2 ($29.99), and Iron Man 2: The Video Game ($29.99).

A full list of the week's deals and new PlayStation Store content, including themes, wallpapers, demos, discounts, and add-on content, is available on the official PlayStation Blog.
