This is more then likely one of the best real time FPS games to date.

To begin this entire expression of love for this wonderful game, is that this game is 100% FREE to play and own. If you are reading this and you know nothing more then what you have seen/read here then go to the home page of AA, download it and play. You will not be disappointed.

Okay now to begin the little review, I know what most people are thinking that, "Its a free game how good can it really be?" And I know that with free games the developers like to drop one thing or the other such as graphics, verity of maps/game play, or controls and actions. And we all know most of the time its the graphic. Free game examples that do this are Gunz, Conquer, Silk Road, etc. Not this game. Graphic, game play, sound, all of it are so high up that most people who play have to keep their computer system above pair to keep up with the game its self.

America's Army (AA) is a First Person Shooter (FPS) MMO that requires team work and being able to think and move in tight and stressful situations. The idea is pretty simple, work with your team, shoot the enemy and complete the mission. What makes this game hard is, one, the game uses a very in-depth sense of realism. Two, most of the time your opponent will be another human being trying to survive just as much as you are. So when you shoot some one you know that this round is over for them and they just aren't going to respawn somewhere and hunt you down. Also the reason I say most of the time is because the recently add a few maps with A.I. enemies. And three, that because your opponent is another person in this world there is no real pattern to memorize and work around.

By now I know your thinking that, "This sounds great in all but what about maintenance and how can we be sure that servers will be fixed if they crash." This has a very simple answer with three parts. It was started and funded by the U.S. government as a recruiting tool. Most of the servers are paid for by players who want to be in control of the maps they select and practice for clan matches. And last the game has been around since 2001, if not a little earlier, and still being updated to match new technology.

Over all I only have two complaints about this game. One, there is not single player option. And two, the amount of money it is going to take to keep your system up to date so one won't be out performed. Other then that, this game is A-Maz-Ing. Go play it.
