A delightful little game, where you meet animal friends, customize your house and visit people on Wi-Fi! A super game.

User Rating: 9.5 | Animal Crossing: Wild World DS
Animal Crossing: Wild World for DS is the second game in the Animal Crossing series.
AC:WW runs on real time, days and minutes passing on the game as they pass in real life. This is a good feature as it makes it more realistic, the sky becoming darker and lighter at the right times, but also a downfall as real time can feel like it's going slowly, and you may only be able to catch a certain bug at a certain time. You can always change the time on the DS though, to speed things up.
You start by moving into a little town and naming it. You'll get your own little house you can go onto buy things for and customize it after working for Tom Nook. He is the owner of a small shop called Nook's Cranny and will ask you to work for him for a while. Once your job is over, you are free and get to do anything you like from talking to and meeting your villagers to collecting fruit and selling it for money, from paying off your mortgage to get a bigger and better house, to writing your animal friends. Over time, when you spend a certain amount of money at the shop, it will get upgraded. This means more room for stock each day, and eventually after 3 upgrades, a hair salon. Here you can change your hair to any colour and style you could imagine!
At Nook's shop, you can find various items like furniture, medicine, tree saplings, flowers, wallpapers, floors and items such as fishing rods and bug nets.
As well as Nook's shop, there is one called 'The Able Sisters' and there you can design your own clothes, buy accessories and clothes and sell clothes. This shop cannot upgrade.
There is a Town Hall where you can send letters to villagers, your future self and other characters in your town (say if you and your sibling share a game card, you'll be in the same house and can send letters to each other. You can have up to four characters living in a house at once), save letters,
As time passes, villagers will come and go, and you will always be meeting new people. Some villagers will stay for months, some will only stay for a few days. As well as the people that live in your town, you'll find a variety of different passers by who come to sell things or that need help.
The currency used is 'bells' and you can earn these by selling things.
What the animals say does get a little repetitive, but it will vary and will have some humourous comments that will make you chuckle!
Overall it's a charming little game, not just for kids.
