This may not be the greatest flight simulator ever but it's really good for what it is.

I agree with petebot that I've played much better helicopter sims in the 90's, but I'm not going to be as harsh and call the game poor. It's a good game, especially for a console, considering consoles don't do flight sims well, when they do them at all. I don't find the flight controls difficult, but I play Microsoft Flight Simulator at the realistic difficulty so casual gamers keep that in mind. Even though Apache PC sims back in the 90's had graphics as good as these, I don't think that takes away from this game because what more could anyone expect. The only thing you are going to find that is more realistic is getting the Army to let you fly a real Apache. As far as game play is concerned, yeah it's hard lining up the rockets, and there are A LOT of guys you have to kill, but I'm sure it's no walk in the park for real Apache pilots so this game is not for the impatient. I personally am not to bothered too much by the game not fleshing out the story of 3 third world crapholes too much. If you're looking for deep stories that's what role-playing games are for, we all know it's Afghanistan, Somaila, and Mexico I suppose, anyway. This is a flight simulator, and it simulates flight. I've played Apache simulators that can support full cyclic, collective and pedals, as well a manipulate every button in the Apache cockpit, and I don't find this a boring, unrealistic game at all. It's just realistic enough to keep the hardcore interested, but not so over the top as to exclude the casual gamer, which is exactly what a console game that wants to sell more than 50 copies should do. This game is well worth the 50 bucks, but the music DOES suck.
