Army distributes America's Army discs

The US Army has announced that America's Army: Operations, which has been available as a free download since July, is now ready to be distributed in CD form. Since July, the free game has seen a number of enhancements, and 2885117another update is said to be coming soon. The game is a tactical first-person shooter with highly realistic weapon modeling and player animations, and it was commissioned by the US Army for use as a recruitment tool. The second America's Army game, a role-playing game called Soldiers, is planned for release later this year.
