The big new release in the downloadable arena for consoles this week is Bionic Commando Rearmed 2 on the Xbox Live Arcade Marketplace and PlayStation Network Store. Developed by a team of ex-GRIN employees at Fatshark, BCR2 sees Nathan Spencer swinging through 2.5D levels again while taking out terrorist thugs. Aside from the obvious swinging mechanic that the franchise is known for, Spencer can now jump from platform to platform, removing player's reliance on the grappling hook.

As is quickly becoming the norm for Aussie Nintendo owners, only two games were again released across Nintendo's three digital distribution services--S.C.A.T. and Gold Fever. S.C.A.T. is a port of the old Nintendo Entertainment System side-scrolling shooter starring two characters called Arnold and Sigourney, who coincidentally look just like Arnold Schwarzenegger and Sigourney Weaver. The second game, Gold Fever, is for DSiWare and is a simple puzzle game that sees players flipping coins to try to match them together.
