Firaxis Games has released the first major patch for turn-based PC strategy game Civilization: Beyond Earth, introducing a range of balance and gameplay tweaks, as well as a raft of bug fixes.

The update, which 2K says was a collaborative effort between Firaxis Games and the community, will be applied automatically the next time you boot up Beyond Earth.

It's a big update, and as such, 2K says you may want to look over the full patch notes before you embark on your next journey in Beyond Earth. An overview of the patch is available below, while you can see the full patch notes at the Beyond Earth website here.

The Beyond Earth Fall Patch:

  • Tweaks to gameplay balance, including trade route yields, Sponsor Abilities, Health benefits, and penalties and more.
  • Changes to combat unit costs and strengths.
  • Improvements to UI, modding and multiplayer features.
  • Addressed issues for players with 144hz monitors, and issues preventing achievements from unlocking for some players.
