Classic Star Wars Games Get New Collector's Editions, Available To Pre-Order Soon
Limited Run Games is releasing new physical editions of Star Wars: X-Wing and Star Wars: TIE Fighter for PC.
Fans of old school Star Wars games will want to keep close tabs on Limited Run Games tomorrow. The video game distributor will be selling two waves of pre-orders for standard and collector's editions of Star Wars: X-Wing and Star Wars: TIE Fighter for PC. The first batch goes live at 7 AM PT / 10 AM ET. If that's too early for those on the west coast, you'll have another chance to snag a pre-order at 3 PM PT / 6 PM ET. It's unclear how much the standard physical editions cost, but each of the very cool collector's editions is $65.
A release date for either physical release hasn't been revealed, but we should know more tomorrow. Like most Limited Run Games releases, these are likely to sell out fast, so you'll definitely want to be on the site when pre-orders go live. We'll add links to each page once they are live. For now, check out the collector's editions below.
Star Wars: X-Wing Collector's edition
$65
The Star Wars: X-Wing Collector's edition celebrates the 1993 flight sim with a bounty of collectibles. Inside the sturdy orange box, you'll find a reversible poster, booklet of retrospective essays, three art cards, a numbered certificate of authenticity, Rebellion insignia pin, commemorative coin, Lucasfilm USB drive, and, of course, a copy of the game.
Star Wars: TIE Fighter Collector's edition

Star Wars: TIE Fighter, the 1994 sequel to X-Wing, carries on where its predecessor left off. This Collector's edition includes a similar assortment of collectibles. It comes with a numbered certificate of authenticity, a booklet filled with retrospectives, a trio of art cards, Imperial insignia pin, commemorative coin, reversible poster, and Lucasfilm emblazoned USB drive. All of these collectibles--along with a copy of the game--come packaged in a board game-style box similar to previous Limited Run Star Wars releases.
