Electronic Arts has released the first shots from The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers for the Game Boy Advance.

The game will re-create the most memorable moments from the first two film adaptations of J.R.R. Tolkien's classic trilogy, such as the battles with the cave troll and the evil wizard Saruman. Players will take on the role of Aragorn, Legolas, Gimli, and Gandalf and explore such environments as the Mines of Moria and the walls of Helm's Deep. Up to four players will be able to play at once using the GBA link cable.

The PlayStation 2 version of The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers is being developed by Stormfront Studios, while Amaze Entertainment is handling the Game Boy Advance edition. Both games will be available this fall.
