Dallas-based game publisher MacPlay has announced its upcoming Mac OS X version of Freedom Force, the popular role-playing game released in March by Crave Entertainment and Electronic Arts. MacPlay also announced a deal with Crave to bring two of its other games to the Macintosh platform.

"We're very excited to enter into this relationship with MacPlay," said Ron Scott, president of Crave Entertainment Group. "Freedom Force is delivering a unique gaming experience to many enthusiastic PC users, and we're pleased to be in a position to extend that experience to the Mac gaming community as well."

Freedom Force lets players play as one of several comic-book-style superheroes in a city overrun with villains and monsters. The game includes 22 unique missions, as well as multiplayer support for up to four players. The Mac OS X version of the game is scheduled for release this fall.
