EA Confirms NASCAR '99 and Untitled Boxer

GameSpot News contacted Electronic Arts Thursday to try to shed some light on rumors that the company will show a couple of surprise titles at E3.

EA confirmed that NASCAR '99 is a go, and that the boxing title known as Fight Night Foes is also a go, but the name is merely a placeholder.

The spokesperson wouldn't say any more about the boxing game other than they plan to show it at E3 next month and are planning to release it this fall.

NASCAR '99 isn't really much of a surprise since NASCAR '98 was the number one selling racing title on the PlayStation last year. And while both titles are sure to be for the PlayStation, the EA spokesperson wouldn't comment if either title would appear on other platforms, just that they would definitely be making a splash at E3 next month.
