First Arma III campaign episode out October 31
"Survive" campaign for military shooter being released as free DLC on Halloween.
The first campaign episode for military shooter Arma III--titled Survive--will be released on October 31, Bohemia Interactive announced today. The downloadable content will be available as a free download.
Arma III launched this summer with no campaign content, a decision that was not made lightly, according to Bohemia Interactive. Two additional campaign episodes--Adapt and Win--will be released later.
In Survive, players will take on the role of a soldier named Ben Kerry, who is part of a NATO peacekeeping mission in the Mediterranean.
"Following a couple of years of uneasy cease-fire, this US-led deployment is now in the process of a staged drawdown. The vacuum left by withdrawing forces is being rapidly filled by the opposing CSAT faction, creating the conditions for, one might say, a flashpoint," Arma III creative director Jay Crowe said.
In addition to the story content, Arma III's Survive campaign will introduce new weapons, animations, 3D objects, and scripted modules for players to create content with. Future episodes will add new vehicles, Bohemia Interactive said.
