Koch Media has released the first in-game shots of Knight Rider in action on the PC. The game, which is also coming to the PS2, Xbox, GameCube, and GBA, is being developed by Netherlands-based studio Davilex, whose best known game to date is USA Racer .

Knight Rider will allow players to fulfill what may have been a fantasy for many of the 1980s television show's original viewers--to sit behind the wheel of the Knight Industry Two Thousand, better known as KITT. Fans of the show will remember that KITT, a black Trans-Am with flashing red lights on the front, boasted a number of technological refinements including a turbo boost, a super pursuit mode, a ski mode, micro jammers, and a scan mode. Players will get to make use of all these features in 10 action-packed missions that will see them going up against all manner of enemies including military helicopters, KITT's "evil twin," KARR, and the criminal mastermind Garth.

Other well-known characters from the TV show, including Devon, Bonnie, and Michael Knight, will also be putting in an appearance when the game is released later this year. We'll post more information about the game as it becomes available.
