The day is fast approaching when David Jones may be known as more than solely the designer of Grand Theft Auto. Today, Jones updated the industry to the title, publisher, and release date of a game he has long promoted at industry conferences and events.

The game, titled All Points Bulletin, or APB, is a massively multiplayer online title that lets players form "gangs or squads all around the world," and then lets them play together "in hundreds of online cities."

APB is being published by MU Online developer/publisher Webzen, one of South Korea's largest and most successful game operators. As for APB's gameplay, Jones said in a statement, "As an avid gamer and creator of many single-player games, it has been my dream to create an online game experience that provides the player with the ultimate freedom to do whatever he wants, in a thriving, living environment."

APB is due to be released in 2007. It has no relation to the arcade classic APB, which was most recently featured on the multiplatform rerelease Midway Arcade Treasures 2.
