Sometimes addiction is a good thing. Especially when it's others who are afflicted. Luckily, many of those people - yes, the addicts referred to above - are technical wizards who often look into the background of what's going on at company servers.

One of these fine people pointed us in the direction of a directory with three Hexen II videos and a bunch of new screenshots for all to see. Can you see them if you go to Activision? Nope, just here. (Although these movies are, in fact, the property of Activision.)

They're pretty simple movies but they give you an idea of how the game darlings at Activision are helping to make the Quake engine even more amazing. The videos are done with a 3Dfx card, which shows in the textures, swift smoothness, and the beauty that only GL Quake owners can know right now.

If you've been waiting for the sequel to Hexen - or just Quake with a little deeper plot - check these out. You won't be disappointed.
