Acclaim's latest game will take you deep inside the world of organized crime.

Though games like the Grand Theft Auto series, Mafia, and The Getaway have already provided gamers with plenty of opportunities to experience the seedy underbelly of organized crime, Acclaim feels that its upcoming game, Interview with a Made Man, will provide the most authentic and immersive experience yet. Putting you in the role of Joey Varolla, a young roustabout who is slowly indoctrinated into a major crime family, you will experience every important moment in Joey's life of crime, ranging from petty crime to every major kill he makes in the name of the family.

Interview With a Made Man will include many familiar and time-honored mafia crime traditions, including bookmaking, racketeering, loan-sharking, hijacking, assassinations, numbers-running, and bloody warring between families. You'll have access to more than 25 different types of weapons in the game, ranging from typical firearms, like Berettas and shotguns, to brutal melee weapons, such as chairs, pool cues and balls, and bats. You'll be able to disarm non-player characters and use them as human shields when trying to fight your way out of a tough situation, and you can make use of 20 fully interactive and degradable environments, all of which contain weapons of all types. The game will also include a picture-in-picture display, giving you a better scope of the action going on around you.

Authenticity is Interview With a Made Man's goal, and to help bring this to the forefront, Acclaim has enlisted the services of mafia expert and best-selling author David Fisher, who is widely regarded as one of the top experts on organized crime. The game will also feature a fully cinematic look and feel, including as-yet-unnamed celebrity voice talent and licensed music from the 1960s, '70s, and '80s.

Interview With a Made Man will be released this winter for all three current-generation console platforms. We will have more coverage of this game in the near future.
