Konami Shows Castlevania 2

LONDON - Besides the massive crowds fixated on the new Beatmania arcade machine in the center of Konami's booth, the title that people seemed to flock to most was Castlevania 2, the sequel to Castlevania 64. While looking not much different from the first installment, Castlevania 2 features new characters, stages, and some incredible bosses.

Why Konami is labeling this next game Castlevania 2 (the name "Castlevania 2"' has already been used for a Castlevania title originally released for the Nintendo Entertainment System a decade ago) is not quite clear, but perhaps this is a choice for the European market only. Look for more Castlevania 2 coverage in the months to come.
