Namco opens new Xenosaga II site--for a limited time

In anticipation of Xenosaga Episode II: Jenseits von Gut und Bose, Namco launched a new promotional site today that will stay open until July 31. The site basically functions as a portal to other Xenosaga sites, but it also features new content. The download section sports wallpapers, the CM & AD section features TV and magazine advertisements, and the digest section gives you a brief outline of Xenosaga Episode I--in Japanese. A short comedy skit, created by adding subtitles to old clips of Xenosaga II, is available in the Xenosaga Episode II: Another Story section. Available only for the PlayStation 2, Xenosaga II is scheduled to ship in Japan on June 24 at a retail price of 6,980 yen ($65). Prior to its release, a fan disc named Xenosaga Freaks will come out on April 28 at a retail price of 4,800 yen ($44). It will include minigames and a playable demo of Xenosaga II.
