TOKYO - Record companies in Japan, including Warner Music Japan, Nihon Columbia, and Pony Canyon will be releasing expanded music CDs this July. The CDs, called Mil CDs, contain music tracks, video footage, and Internet-connecting software - the footage and Internet connectivity can only be used when the CD is played on a Dreamcast.

You can play the CDs normally in CD players, but you can't access the additional features on the CDs. Mil CDs will be retailed at 1000 to 1500 yen at music stores. Currently about 15 companies have committed to releasing Mil CDs.
