Amusement Vision has released today new shots of Super Monkey Ball on its website. The game--which will mark Sega's first effort on Nintendo's GameCube--is highly reminiscent of the arcade classic Marble Madness, save for one key deviation: rather than leading a sphere through a set of hazards, you actually manipulate the environment in a manner that moves the sphere in the direction you want it to go. Also, in the case of Super Monkey Ball, the marble is replaced by a monkey within a glass sphere.

Super Monkey is set to ship with the GameCube this November. We'll have more information as soon as it becomes available. Till then, check out our previous coverage of the game.
