Nintendo Forms New Subsidiary

Nintendo establishes a new subsidiary comprised of former Square members to develop Game Boy Advance role-playing titles.

Nintendo of Japan announced today that it will establish a new subsidiary named Browny Brown that will begin operations on June 30. The new subsidiary is comprised of former Square members who have worked on Square titles such as the Secret of Mana series.

Browny Brown is currently developing a "communication RPG for the Game Boy Advance," which is tentatively titled Magical Vacation and scheduled for a spring 2001 release in Japan.
