There's a theory going around the sports blogosphere that leading with a story and/or picture of ESPN sports reporter Erin Andrews will automatically generate hits. I'm testing that theory with the picture above, taken tonight during the NCAA Football 10 event at Providence Bar in New York City. On hand at tonight's event were all four of the cover athletes for NCAA 10, as well as a number of other NFL Draft hopefuls and, of course, that other "EA Sports", Andrews herself, who's making an appearance in the game as a sideline reporter.

Before we began this interview, I let Andrews know that I'd actually spoken to her before on the phone--for our old sports podcast. To her credit, she even pretended to remember our conversation, which I thought was quite decent of her. Later, once the interview was underway, some jackball brazenly stepped in front of our camera and Erin immediately started giving him the business on camera. Which just goes to prove the primary philosophical tenant of my life: Erin Andrews is awesome.

Here's a few other snapshots from tonight's event, courtesy of cameraman extraordinaire, Homer Rabara:

Stay tuned for the video from this event, as well as the first details on NCAA Football 10 and Madden NFL 10, next week. Tomorrow, Homer and I will be up bright and early in Times Square to check out the unveiling of the Madden NFL 10 cover athlete. If you want to follow the action, be sure and follow me on Twitter.
