Plants vs Zombies: Garden Warfare won't charge for DLC, but what about microtransactions?
Free content on the way for Plants vs Zombies: Garden Warfare on Xbox One, Xbox 360, and (eventually) PC.
DLC for Plants vs Zombies: Garden Warfare will be free, developer Popcap Games has said.
"Yes DLC will be free," said PopCap marketing manager Gary Clay on Twitter when asked about future content for the third-person shooter. The first DLC pack for the game is expected to be released in the next few weeks.
Clay reiterated that PopCap has not announced anything regarding microtransactions for the title, however. For more information, last week GameSpot editor Carolyn Petit tackled the thorny possibility of in-app purchases making their way into the game.
PopCap producer Brian Lindley told GameSpot in February that Garden Warfare wouldn't feature microtransactions "at launch," but what does that mean for the future of the game?
