Frozen Synapse Prime, the turn-based strategy game from developer Double Eleven, is coming exclusively to the PlayStation Vita on September 23, according to a post on the PlayStation Blog.
Based on the PC and mobile game originally created by Mode 7, Frozen Synapse Prime has you plotting paths and issuing orders to an elite strike team of futuristic soldiers. You can test different plans, choosing different routes and actions for you units, then execute and watch events unfold on procedural, 3D, destructible battlefields.
The Prime version of the game for Vita sports a new look, a single player campaign with over 40 missions, as well as a variety of modes from the original game's asynchronous online multiplayer.
GameSpot gave Frozen Synapse an 8.5/10 for its engrossing tactical gameplay and addictive multiplayer. Check out the full review here.
Mode 7's latest game, Frozen Cortex (previously known as Frozen Endzone), takes Frozen Synapse's asynchronous, turn-based strategy mechanics, and uses them to create a futuristic sports game. It's currently available through Steam Early Access.
