The 2010 Maloof Money Cup travels to Flushing Meadows in Queens, New York, from June 5-6, and EA plans to release a digitized edition of the show as Skate 3's first heap of downloadable content. The digital version of the 2010 tournament will be available next Tuesday, June 8, on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, bringing with it new challenges, a new course, and additional achievements and trophies.

The add-on will give players a chance to take on some of the skateboarding world's "biggest names" according to EA, on a custom-built street park with 14 noted New York skate spots.

Last year, EA released a similar digital pack on July 9, the day before the 2009 Maloof Money Cup began in Orange County, California. Though EA didn't delve into specifics of what gamers can expect from the Skate 3 DLC, its 2009 counterpart included a street contest, a vert contest, and online multiplayer free skate challenges. Additionally, EA has hiked the going rate for the 2010 version, raising the content's price from $3 (240 Microsoft points) in 2009 to $5 (400 MSP) in 2010.

The Maloof Money Cup is in its third year, after spending 2008 and 2009 in Orange County. Following this year's New York event, the Cup will ollie the Pacific on its way to South Africa in 2011. The 2010 Money Cup in New York is the extreme sport's largest pursed event, with more than $250,000 up for grabs.
