Sony has moved to quash fresh speculation that The Last of Us Remastered would be released on PlayStation 4 next week.

What? June 13? We know The Last of Us Remastered is coming to PS4 this summer, but where did next week come from? It turns out a blunder from UK retailer Game recently stated, multiple times, that the game would be released on June 13. The retailer later removed the dates, and now Sony has now outright denied them.

Uh oh.
Uh oh.

"The release date is not June 13," said a Sony representative to GameSpot.

"As we’ve announced, The Last of Us Remastered for PS4 will release this summer," adds Sony. "We will keep you posted on an official release date."

Sony has had a rough time keeping its The Last of Us announcements under wraps, with the PlayStation Store accidentally revealing both the release date of Left Behind DLC and the PS4 version of the game earlier this year.

The head honchos on Last of Us, Bruce Straley and Neil Druckmann, are now overseeing development of Uncharted on PS4. Before The Last of Us, the duo worked on Uncharted 2, which is widely regarded as the best in the series.
