Splatoon 3 Gets Rare Discount At Amazon

Though Nintendo's first-party Switch games receive semi-regular discounts these days, some titles remain averse to deals. One such game is Splatoon 3, one of the best multiplayer games on the platform. The squidtastic shooter is on sale for a great price at Amazon, dropping the family-friendly game from $60 to $50. Alternatively, you can buy it from a third-party seller at Walmart for $47.75.

Splatoon's core design is relatively simple, as the aim of the game is to dominate an arena with paint while using the unique abilities of your Squidling character to avoid being eliminated by a stray blob of color. The Splatoon threequel is an excellent entry point to the franchise, and alongside its suite of competitive and cooperative multiplayer modes, it offers the most robust single-player mode in series history.

"Splatoon 3 isn't quite as novel the third time around, but a great campaign, tons of multiplayer options, and a few new surprises make it much more of a good thing," Steve Watts wrote in GameSpot's Splatoon 3 review. If you're looking to go all in on this purchase, Amazon also has the vibrant Splatoon 3 Pro controller available, which doesn't just look funky, but also happens to be an excellent controller that sports a terrific design, strong battery life, and excellent ergonomics.

If you're looking for a Switch to play the game on, the Splatoon 3-themed console is also still available. While this Switch console isn't on special, it's still one of the best-looking variants on the market, and happens to the OLED model that makes games look fantastic in handheld mode.
