3DO today announced Street Racing Syndicate, a driving game that's being developed at Eutechnyx, which has created games such as F1 World Grand Prix 2000, 007 Racing, and Le Mans 24 Hours. The game promises extensive car customization, police chases, and high-stakes competition.

"With Street Racing Syndicate, we have captured the essence of underground racing--high stakes, high speed, and the customization of realistically detailed cars," said Trip Hawkins, 3DO's CEO. "Every race has a lot at stake, including pink slips, cash, and, of course, the ladies' respect."

Street Racing Syndicate is scheduled for release in 2003 for the PlayStation 2, Xbox, and GameCube.
