In a surprise Nintendo Direct Mini Partner Showcase, Nintendo revealed that it's bringing Taiko no Tatsujin: Rhythmic Adventure Pack to the Switch sometime in winter 2020. The pack consists of two Taiko no Tatsujin games named Rhythmic Adventure 1 and Rhythmic Adventure 2.

Taiko no Tatsujin: Rhythmic Adventure Pack is a rhythm RPG game. In the trailer below, players drum on the Taiko to defeat over 250 enemies, some of whom can be later recruited as allies. If the RPG aspect isn't your thing, the pack also includes a pure rhythm mode with no storyline.

Nintendo has previously released a Taiko no Tatsujin game called Drum 'n' Fun on the Switch in 2018. In Heidi Kemps' Taiko no Tatsujin: Drum 'n' Fun review for GameSpot, she rated it 7/10. Kemps commented, "Overall, Taiko no Tatsujin in any form is a solid rhythm game package that's easy to get into and rewarding the more you play it--provided you're down with a mostly-unfamiliar tracklist."

Though this Nintendo Direct Mini Partner Showcase dropped as a surprise, there are rumors of a second Nintendo Direct dropping this week.
