The Boys Season 4 Trailer Teases A Big, Bloody Showdown

It's Butcher versus Homelander in The Boys Season 4.

Comments

A new trailer for The Boys Season 4 has landed ahead of the show's debut in June, and it offers up the best look yet at the upcoming season. The stakes are pretty high in Season 4, as Billy Butcher (Karl Urban) and Homelander (Antony Starr) appear to be on a collision course.

Butcher has done a lot of bad things and made mistakes he cannot fix, but with the time he has left, he says he can still do "one thing right." Homelander, on the other hand, believes America is lost. Homelander believes that himself and the superheroes remaining loyal to him are the only way to save the country. But to do so, they must do bad things. According to Homelander, his band of superheroes are now becoming "wrathful gods" who band together for evil.

The trailer also reveals what could be Butcher's masterplan for how to kill Homelander. He says he's discovered a virus that kills supes (something the show previously alluded to), but could it be that easy? We'll find out when The Boys Season 4 hits Prime Video on June 13. The trailer also reveals that at least a couple of characters from the spin-off series, Gen V, will appear in The Boys Season 4.

In addition to Urban and Starr, The Boys stars Jack Quaid, Erin Moriarty, Jessie T. Usher, Laz Alonso, Chace Crawford, Tomer Capone, Karen Fukuhara, Colby Minifie, Claudia Doumit, and Cameron Crovetti. Newcomers for Season 4 include Susan Heyward, Valorie Curry, and Jeffrey Dean Morgan.

June 2024 is stacking up to be major month for new TV show releases, as The Acolyte premieres then, while House of the Dragon and The Bear come back for new seasons in June. You can see the schedule below.

Also of note, Homelander from The Boys is coming to Mortal Kombat 1 in an upcoming DLC release.
