Untold Stories From Halo 2 Will Be Revealed In New Podcast Series
The podcast series from Andy "Bravo" Dudynsky will include never-before-seen documents and details on features and modes cut from Halo 2.
Andy "Bravo" Dudynsky, a former director and producer at Microsoft on Halo who is now a freelance esports broadcaster and consultant, has announced a new Halo project.
Halo 2: Artifacts is a new documentary podcast focused on Halo 2. Joining Bravo on the podcast is Max Hoberman, the lead multiplayer designer on Halo 2 who later founded Certain Affinity, and together, they will reveal and discuss never-before-seen design documents for Halo 2. Halo multiplayer announcer Jeff Steitzer will appear as well, along with Halo 2 technical games manager Sam Charchian.
The first episode premiered on November 5, and new installments will be released each Friday. The episodes are about 45 minutes each, and there are four in total as part of the limited series. Listeners can expect "untold stories" from Halo 2's development, based on 10 months of research, recording, and production.
November 12's Episode 2 is called The Social Revolution, and it focuses on the "dramatic stories" behind Halo 2's multiplayer features. Episode 3 - Map Design focuses on how the developers created some of the franchise's most iconic and memorable maps. Episode 4 - The Chopping Block sounds like the most exciting one, as it will see Hoberman talking about content that was cut from the game, including features and modes.
You can listen to Halo 2: Artifacts everywhere podcasts are available, including Spotify, YouTube, and Apple Podcasts. Halo 2 just celebrated its 17th anniversary on November 9, while the Halo franchise and Xbox in general are turning 20 this month.
The podcast arrives just ahead of Halo Infinite's long-awaited release in December. Recently, 343 shared a huge amount of information on how Halo Infinite is changing due to feedback from the beta.
