Freak Boy edges out Propaganda, takes center stage at VIE.

Rumors have been circulating about the state of Virgin's PC game Propaganda: Supposedly, work on the game is on hold while the development team focuses its energies on making the release date for N64 game Freak Boy.

As often happens, however, the rumor mill is only partially correct. The official word from Virgin is that Propaganda has been completely canceled, for reasons that can't be disclosed because of the company's initial public offering, currently underway.

Freak Boy, a Mario 64-like game in which the main character puts weapons "inside" his limbs in order to shoot enemies, is on schedule for a 1998 release.
