The Mann's Chinese Theater in Hollywood was swarmed by the WCW yesterday for a premiere of the film Ready to Rumble, which stars many of the signature wrestlers from the WCW, including Goldberg, Diamond Dallas Page, and Sting. videogames.com went to the event in hopes of getting info on Electronic Arts' next WCW game.

The event featured a live one-fall match between the Wall and Vampiro that was quite exciting. After the match, WCW wrestlers climbed into the ring with some of the film's actors to address the crowd. This was derailed when Jeff Jarrett showed up on the scene and instigated a brawl that involved himself, Diamond Dallas Page, and David Arquette.

Ready to Rumble is a comedy about a wrestler, played by Oliver Platt, who is wronged by the creator of the wrestling organization and who must reclaim his belt with the help of David Arquette and others.

On the game front, the EA and WCW folks, unfortunately, were tight-lipped about future projects and only said that an announcement would come within the next couple of weeks.

Check out the movie to see some of the action from the event, and be sure to keep checking back to get the first word on the next WCW game.
