Westwood Studios has announced that it has teamed with benchmark software company MadOnion and graphics technology company Nvidia to provide a custom PC performance analyzer. The performance analyzer will let users quickly determine if their PC meets the minimum system requirements needed to play Command & Conquer Renegade, Westwood's upcoming shooter based on the universe featured in its popular Command & Conquer real-time strategy games.

The performance analyzer scans more than 300 attributes of the user's computer and offers recommendations on how to improve the overall gaming performance of the computer.

"We want to ensure that everyone who wants to play Command & Conquer Renegade is able to," said Dan Cermak, executive producer of Renegade. "MadOnion's Performance Analyzer is a great tool for immediately learning if your computer meets the minimum system requirements for the game and, if not, what you can do to bring it up to speed."

Westwood and MadOnion are also providing basic tutorials on how to install new video cards and RAM. The tutorials and performance analyzer can be found on the official Renegade Web site. Command & Conquer Renegade is scheduled for release in mid-February. For more information, take a look at our previous coverage of the game.
