Zuffa settles legal discourse with Bam
Bam can no longer use the octagon rings in its upcoming games.
Zuffa LLC, the owner of the Ultimate Fighting Championship, came to a settlement with Bam Entertainment concerning Zuffa's trademark and trade dress rights to the octagonal-shaped fighting ring. According to Zuffa, Bam infringed upon its trademark with the publishing of Fire Pro Wrestling, which incorporates an octagonal ring in its "gruesome" mode. Bam agreed to discontinue depicting octagonal rings in any of its products, as well as in its packaging, advertising, and Web site material.
