Blood Drive is one of those games that you will either enjoy, or truly hate. It consists of a bunch of drivers shooting at each other, but with a zombie infestation twist. The game centers around these contestants in a game show of the future. Each car has their own unique car, weapon, driver... etc. There is a career mode, with about 7 events each broken up into different gameplay modes. There is a zombie kill count, checkpoint race, deathmatch, and more. There are also some challenges you can complete to get some unlockable extras. Online multiplayer is also another choice, although I haven't gotten around to playing it yet. There are a bevy of weapons that are unique to the game, and each car has their own rage weapon as well. Weapons include; harpoon gun, rivet gun, chain gun, land mine, saw launcher, rocket launcher, and more. Powerups and weapons are scattered across the battlefield, so times can get tense when you are low on health looking for that wrench. The graphics in this game aren't the best around, but they do good for a game like this. Now to the selling point, zombies. Shamblers are your ordinary zombies that cling to your car when you get too close and mostly just paint your car with blood the entire time. There are also fat ones that vomit, fast ones that jump onto your car and damage you, and big tank looking ones that charge at you. The concept of zombies in a car combat game are good, but are really there just as a selling point. If you're looking for a fix until Twisted Metal comes out, then this game is for you.
