New toys for a different gaming experience.

If you are a team player open to new ideas and bored by the boring generic FPS shooters, Brink may be a game that you are looking for. It offers many features which will begin a revolution and maybe change the FPS genre.

The story of the game takes you to the ARK, a floating utopia that has been overpopulated since the refugees came. You take a role as one of the citizens of the ARK which can be either on the side of the Security who fight to save the ARK or Resistance who fight to escape the ARK. The story isn't particularly interesting nor is it necessary since this is a multiplayer based game. The game has a cartoony graphics which is a good thing because many games are based on a dark pallet of colors and this brings a refreshing change.

The gameplay of the game is great, it brings whit it an interesting movement system called SMART which enables you to move fluidly trough level giving you option to vault, slide or do a wall hop. There is a character customization that makes you make your character different from the rest and allows you to see your creation every time you do an objective (if you have the ability). Many games have weapon customization, but Brink has one of the best because you can put up to four attachments and every attachment has its pros and cons. The game features four classes which have the same guns but differ in abilities and objectives and a class can be change quickly on the command post. The objectives in the game are different on each map, engineers repair and suport, medics heal downed V.I.P.-s and players, soldiers plant explosives and give ammo to the needy and operatives hack and dress up as enemies. Trough the game you can purchase abilities as you level up which are different for each class.

The game is one of the most interesting I have played, and it really is better than generic shooter, the only problem is the bad story and the shortage of levels.

Pros: SMART, Good weapon customization, Team play, Objective system, Refreshing graphics

Cons: Bad story, Shortage of levels, AI player
