A successful remake of an internet phenomenon.

User Rating: 8 | Defend Your Castle WII
Ah, Defend Your Castle. If you're like me, than you too were once addicted to the internet flash-based game. Now, the creators of that very game bring the classic to to the Wii with upgraded graphics and features.

Gameplay is as simple as it sounds: Defend Your Castle. Your basic means of defense is picking up the enemies with your cursor and dropping them from the sky so they splatter. You get points for each kill, and after every round you get the chance to upgrade your castle. You can convert enemies to your side and use them as archers, repairmen, demolition guys, magicians. You can also repair your castle or upgrade its health. The game starts out slow, but as you advance through the rounds, more and more enemies start attack your castle, as well as stronger enemies.

While this game is fun and pretty addictive, it falls a little short. After you purchase all your upgrades for your castle, all you have left to upgrade is your health. Sure, you keep converting enemies over to your side and adding to your arsenal, but it all becomes routine after a while. You enter a round, convert enemies to your side while killing everyone else with spells/throwing them, then upgrade your castle walls and heal your health if need be. I'm not sure how many rounds there are, as I'm over level 30 as of this review. The game is still fun, but it loses some if it's charm after a little while. This game is only a mere 500 points, though, and I can say you'll get your moneys worth out of this game.
