Why would I keep playing you might ask? My real life friends hound me to play with them and it's one of the only ways I get to keep in contact with them. I'm a socially awkward introvert and I like gaming, so it's hard for me to make new real life friends. I've had a distaste for Destiny since it hit the shelves. there's I hardly any story, it's extremely repetitive, the best drops are random, and talk about a grind to hit max level. But the kicker is that when the next DLC drops Bungie sells their coveted weapons and gear with the DLC or the vender will carry them. So if you grind for a weapon for 100 hours, it will be pointless come the next DLC because everyone will have one. However, some guns are simply unattainable because the perks each weapon drops with are random too. In summary, if you like ridiculously grinding games where you can waste huge portions of your life for little to no payoff, by all means by Destiny. It I urge you to reconsider, because this game is a poor example of what a good game should look like.
